Who are we?

Road and Fell is Stockport's brand new independent specialist running shop situated on Middle Hillgate 5 - 10 minutes walk from Stockport Town Centre and is easily reached from Manchester and the surrounding area. Getting here is easy either by car, public transport or by those magical feet of yours, see "How To Find Us" for directions.

Road and Fell provides specialist running shoes, apparel and accessories from the leading makes, including Brooks, Mizuno, New Balance, Saucony, Walsh, La Sportiva, Ron Hill, Hilly, Sports Jock, OMM, Asics, Thorlos, Silva, Buff, and Nuun as well as many others for all runners, no matter if you are just starting out or have been running for years. We also have a specialised junior department.

Road and Fell is an independent running shop, we offer a relaxed service where you, the customer, are most important. We are here to help you, so we won't be trying to sell you something you don't want. We are here to enhance your running experience, we will not hassle you, but if you need any more help we are more then happy to assist you.

To help you know you are buying the shoe that is right for you, we have a treadmill in store for you to try them out on.

For your convenience we have late night opening on a Thursday till 7pm.

If you are a member of a Running Club / EA Registered or an FRA Member just bring your current membership card with you to receive a 10% discount off all non sale items.

If it's a race you are looking for, we have knowledge of many near and far, we also carry entry forms for a number of races taking place.

The shop is staffed by experienced runners, who will always offer impartial advice on any running related subject.

Road and Fell is managed by Kevin Day who is a highly experienced runner with over 25 years of road, trail and fell running behind him. He is a member of Goyt Valley Striders, 100 Marathon Club and also a lifetime member of Fenland Runners. He has completed the 95 mile West Highland Way Race from Glasgow to Fort William in less then 21 1/2 hours and has completed more then 100 Marathons. He is also Race Director for the Shady Oak Tough 10K and Eccles Pike Fell Race.

Also at the shop is Steve Hennessey who has again been running for more then 25 years, and he is also a member of the Goyt Valley Striders with many years of road, trail and fell running behind him.
